Junior Analytics Engineer – Power BI (Remote)

The Assistant/Associate Engineer in Analytics Management will develop and support BI solutions, ensuring they meet business objectives while collaborating with various teams. Responsibilities: • Team up with the engineering teams, Business Analysis project members, and business partners to design and develop new Snowflake Views and Power BI objects including Dashboards, Reporting, and Apps among others. • Provide technical requirements for implementation of Snowflake and Power BI objects • Learn and support current on prem BI tools and processes while migrating to new Cloud tools • Work with Project Management to communicate timely estimates, updates, project status, and lead communication to project participants • Work in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment • Document and establish standards for best practices. Qualifications: Required: • 1-3+ years of experience in a BI Engineering role, specifically Power BI • Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills • Experience with retail industry, with focus on analytics, architecture and/or Business Intelligence • Strong understanding of data management principles • Personal Attributes: Self-starter, Collaborative, Curious, Strong work ethic, highly motivated, Team oriented • Experience designing and building BI Semantic layer models in an agile environment • Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies and open source technologies • Experience working with end users in a support style environment • Experience with new system implementation and change management • Demonstrated ability in developing a culture that embraces innovation, and challenges existing paradigms • Knowledgeable in DAX and SQL • Ability to identify usage scenarios and patterns for BI solutions Preferred: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred, or combination of education and experience • Experience with other BI reporting solutions such as OBIEE and Tableau nice to have Company: Abercrombie & Fitch Co.
