Junior Accountant (HYBRID)

Care Compass Network is seeking a Junior Accountant to support their financial needs by performing various accounting functions. The role involves recording transactions, assisting in financial audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities Assist with the accurate and timely recording of daily financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards Assist in the preparation of routine financial reports by compiling, validating, and organizing financial data Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Cross-train with other Finance team members to build functional knowledge, provide backup coverage, and support team continuity Provide support during month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting deadlines Support year-end external audits by preparing schedules, responding to audit requests, and maintaining organized documentation Perform general ledger reconciliations and monthly journal entries Provide accounting support for Care Compass's Business Solutions Services, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely processing in collaboration with external partners Skills Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with minimum of 1 year of financial experience including as a junior accountant, bookkeeper or similar position, with expertise in Microsoft Excel OR 3 years experience as a junior accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position, with expertise in Microsoft Excel Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S Applicant must reside within a 2-hour radius of our home office in Binghamton NY Experience with other financial tools such as QuickBooks Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Ability to prioritize and multitask, learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to generate and interpret data and reports Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within the accounting function Company Overview Care Compass Network is a non-profit organization that provides health and social care services.
