Junior Accountant, Accounts Payable

The Junior Accountant, Accounts Payable will support the Accounting team with financial operations focusing on accounts payable, reconciliations, and general accounting functions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the business.ResponsibilitiesProcess and post accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely mannerPrepare and post journal entriesPerform inventory and vendor account reconciliationsProcess, approve, and reconcile employee travel and expense reports through ConcurManage vendor onboarding and maintain accurate vendor master dataExecute payments including checks, ACH, and wire transfersPerform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesResearch and resolve billing and invoice inquiries with internal and external partnersSupport month-end close procedures through various accounting tasksAssist with year-end audit preparation and 1099 reportingSupport SOX control procedures and compliance requirementsPrepare periodic sustainability reports (electric and gas usage) for all U.S. locationsProvide administrative support and assist with ad hoc accounting projects as neededProactively identify issues and contribute to problem-solving across accounting processesSkillsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field1–2 years of accounting or accounts payable experienceStrong attention to detail with solid organizational and time management skillsExposure to ERP systemsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft TeamsUnderstanding of basic accounting principles and financial processesAbility to communicate effectively and collaborate cross-functionallyDemonstrates initiative, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindsetComfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to take ownership and support the broader Accounting team as neededSAP Business One experienceExperience with payment processing (ACH/wires) and vendor managementBenefitsComprehensive benefits package401(k) company matchDiverse and inclusive working environmentCompany OverviewThom Browne is widely recognized for challenging and modernizing today’s uniform: the suit.
