Description
Alaska Northstar Federal is currently seeking a Jr. Proposal Writer to join our team. This is a remote, full-time position responsible for supporting the coordination and creation of proposal response content for requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), other procurement documents and unsolicited proposals. Junior Proposal Writer Duties include, but are not limited to:Writes professional, compliant proposals to be submitted to Government customers.Works with technical Subject Matter Experts to gather technical solution data and communicate it within the context of a proposal.Communicates in a professional and credible manner.Writes persuasively and articulately for internal and external audiences with proper grammar and overall professionalismResearch topics and gathers necessary information to understand basics of a topic and then be able to communicate it to a new audience in speech or writing.Edits already written technical/business detail to improve and/or make more concise.Creates basic PowerPoint slide decks of varying purposes.Creates basic graphics/charts via standardized programs (e.g., Draw.io, Illustrator, etc.)
Requirements
Minimum Candidate RequirementsCandidate must be a US CitizenCandidate must have Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited College or UniversityCandidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearanceCandidate must have 3+ years experience with the following:DoD or other relevant GovCon proposal writing experience.Interpreting RFPs, RFIs, other government requests/proposals, etcKnowledge of pricing and formatting of gov’t proposal effortsDesired or Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Preferred degree in a field requiring extensive writing.Attention to detail.Ability to read and follow specific instructions for document creation.Ability to communicate orally and in writing to varying audiences.Ability to meet deadlines without direct management.About ANFAlaska Northstar Federal (ANF) maintains an outstanding work environment that includes competitive compensation, outstanding benefits, and challenging work assignments with opportunities for advancement/career growth.
