Jr. Front-End Developer (Flex-Time)

Motu Novu seeks to retain the services of a motivated Junior Front-End Developer to work with React to build modern, responsive user interfaces for custom applications built with back-end PHP and Symfony.
What You Do
ā¢ Develop and maintain React-based user interfaces
ā¢ Collaborate with senior developers on full-stack features
ā¢ Write clean, maintainable code following team standards
ā¢ Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback
ā¢ Assist with API integration and basic backend tasks
ā¢ Debug and fix frontend issues
What You Need: Technical
ā¢ Solid knowledge of PHP and familiarity with object-oriented programming
ā¢ Solid understanding of React fundamentals (components, hooks, router v7, state management validation React 19)
ā¢ Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
ā¢ Experience with responsive design and CSS-in-JS (Emotion)
ā¢ Basic understanding of RESTful APIs design principles and API integration using Axios
ā¢ Familiarity with version control (Git) and containerized development
ā¢ Basic knowledge of Vite build tool and development workflow
ā¢ Willingness to learn Symfony framework and its components
What You Need: Non-Technical
ā¢ Confident and poised attitude in internal and external interactions.
ā¢ Thrives in a collaborative environment.
ā¢ Good oral and written communications skills.
ā¢ Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
ā¢ English ā European CEFR Level B2 or higher.
ā¢ Bona-fide setup as an independent contractor.
What You Get
ā¢ Base Compensation: $25/hour to $40/hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
ā¢ Benefits: Fully flexible schedule, discretionary yearly performance bonus (up to 25% of base yearly compensation).
