Jr Data Engineer
Overview The Jr Data Engineer position plays a vital role in our data-driven organization, supporting data integration, transformation, and management processes. This entry-level position serves as a cornerstone for the development of our data pipeline infrastructure, ensuring the seamless flow of data across platforms. The Jr Data Engineer will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and senior engineers to build and optimize data systems that allow stakeholders to harness data effectively in their decision-making processes. As a member of the data engineering team, the Jr Data Engineer will be integral in processing large volumes of data, developing data models, and implementing ETL pipelines. Key Responsibilities Assist in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data processing systems. Develop and implement ETL processes to assist with data extraction, transformation, and loading. Write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation. Ensure data quality and integrity through regular data audits. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and address issues. Document data engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards. Utilize cloud services for data storage and processing. Assist in building data models to support analytics initiatives. Collect and analyze requirements for data systems and solutions. Implement data security protocols to protect sensitive information. Continuously learn and apply new technologies in data engineering. Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and challenges. Support the integration of new data sources into existing systems. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience with SQL and relational database management. Familiarity with Python or similar programming languages. Understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with data modeling techniques and frameworks. Familiarity with version control mechanisms like Git. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Good communication skills to interact with various stakeholders. Attention to detail with a strong commitment to data quality. Willingness to continue learning new tools and technologies. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
