Journey Man Mechanic

Inspect machine to determine if it is in proper operating condition. Maintain all equipment as required, including adjustments, exchange parts, complete overhaul, installation of change parts, setting dies, and other adjustments, repairs, and alterations. Instruct press mechanic trainees as required in the efficient performance of their duties. Keep all records pertaining to job during production... and check maintenance as required. This includes entering data into computers or using check sheets as assigned. Review results of Machine Vision. Make certain the correct tinplate spec is placed at each press line prior to use. Change bundles. Inspect tinplate and remove defective sheets before feeding into presses. Remove jams from equipment. Relief of other mechanics. Assist other press department personnel as needed or assigned. Additional related duties as assigned. Report unusual events or emergencies to supervisor immediately. Consult with supervisor regarding company policies and procedures. Perform all duties with due regard to plant rules. Maintain working area in clean and orderly condition.
