The Manager of Applications Development - Enterprise Reporting & Insights will be responsible for leading the creation and optimization of reports and dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights for stakeholders. This role focuses on front-end reporting solutions, visual storytelling, and ensuring the delivery of impactful analytics. The manager will work closely with business teams to understand their needs and translate them into intuitive, high-quality visualizations and reports that drive decision-making. The incumbent in this position provides tactical and strategic planning and direction for the technology functions and/or technology teams in relation to reports and insights delivery as well as managing a team of report developers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• As a hands on manager, leads and mentors a team of reporting and insights analysts to deliver high-quality visualizations and dashboards.
• Fosters a collaborative, innovative environment focused on delivering stakeholder value.
• Allocates resources effectively to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
• Designs, develops, and enhances reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization platforms.
• Ensures visualizations are intuitive, actionable, and aligned with business goals.
• Regularly reviews and updates reports to maintain relevance and accuracy.
• Leads, recruits, and mentors a team of report developers and monitors their performance, development and promotional aspects.
• Applies design principles to create visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards.
• Ensures consistency and standardization in report formats and metrics across the organization.
• Trains and supports stakeholders in using reports and dashboards effectively.
• Builds self-service reporting capabilities for end-users where appropriate.
• Drives continuous improvement of delivery processes, standards, and practices, increased efficiency, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse.

QUALIFICATIONS
• 8+ years of experience along with a Bachelor's degree; 1+ years supervisory/management experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisory/management experience is preferred.
• Strong expertise in the Power BI product suite and Snowflake platform is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with a high priority on listening to others.
• Ability to practice empathy and build trust amongst the team.
• Ability to research and maintain current and emerging technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology.
• Highly knowledgeable in preparing business plans, IT plans, Technology Roadmaps, and technical project proposals.
• Knowledge in preparing and managing budgets.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and recommend the right solutions in a timely fashion.
• Demonstrated use of ingenuity and creativity by taking actions to direct the analyses and solutions of problems.
• Knowledge of systems development life cycle, including the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple initiatives and deliverables utilizing SAFe Agile, SCRUM or other appropriate development methodologies.
• Ability to recruit, retain and develop a team.
• Demonstrates a Lean Agile Mindset.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 24. $122,400 - $265,100
