Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Garment Cutter to join our Costuming Production Workroom team at Walt Disney World. As a Garment Cutter, you will play a crucial role in creating costumes for our iconic shows, parades, and Character Meet and Greets. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your creativity and technical skills to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: • Utilize computer-controlled machines to cut materials and contribute to costume documentation • Collaborate with Leadership and other Costuming partners to ensure seamless production • Accurately and safely operate hand-cutting equipment and standard fabric knowledge • Lay out and cut garment pieces using appropriate tools and techniques • Read, understand, and interpret directions on bundling checklists, markers, and swatch cards • Fill out written documentation on fabric usage and operate electronic cutting tables • Verify orders from the Cut Room and quality check for Cut/Bundle Kit • Cross-reference bundles against checklists and add notions/CCI items • Prioritize cut bundles for the sew floor and assess orders for accuracy What We Offer: • Competitive hourly rate of $17.25 • Select benefits, including medical, financial, and other benefits (visit for more information) • Opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals in a dynamic and creative environment Basic Qualifications: • Operate basic computer systems, including Excel and Word • Proficient verbal and written communication skills for documentation and safety purposes • Knowledge of cutting techniques, tools, and terminology • Physical role requiring repetitive movement, including heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, grasping, and kneeling • Ability to work with or around costumes made of natural or synthetic materials • Full availability for any shift, seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications: • Two years of experience in garment construction • Experience using large computerized cutting machines, plotters, digitizers, digital drawing tablets, and handheld 3D scanners How to Apply: To submit your application, click the "Apply for this job" button below.
