We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Substitute Teacher to join our team in Evergreen, CO. Key Responsibilities:
Follow and teach lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, adapting to meet the needs of students with special needs
Instruct based on subject and grade-specific curriculum, using specialized knowledge to support students with diverse learning requirements
Monitor and assess student achievements and outcomes, providing feedback to inform instruction and support student growth
Exercise classroom and behavior management skills, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Share your expertise to coach staff and support special education students, contributing to a collaborative and supportive school community

Requirements:
Active Teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s)
Substitute Authorization (must have or be in the process of obtaining if license is expired)
Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
Completion of a Background Check for Scoot Education (reimbursed on your first paycheck) and the Colorado Department of Education
