Job Summary:
The Service Support Specialist will assist the service department in various tasks, including dispatching, customer service, and completion of generator warranty and new unit start-ups. This position is based on-site at our Owings, MD location and offers a competitive salary and a chance to work with a leading company in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Service Project Coordinators in completing warranty, new unit start-ups, and national accounts assigned to KGE by Generac
Act as a point of contact between sales and service departments
Provide support to contractors, customers, and factory representatives
Utilize in-house software to submit documentation and file warranty claims
Assist with dispatching technicians to assigned projects
Support the service team as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to develop relationships with coworkers and vendors
Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent time management skills
Education and Experience:
High school diploma required
1 year of experience in customer service, administrative, or related field
Physical Requirements:
On-site position
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
