As a School Year Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing high-dosage tutoring in math and literacy, helping to close learning gaps and empower young scholars to reach their full potential.
As a remote-based position with a competitive salary starting at $30-$40 per hour, you will have the opportunity to work with small groups of students, typically in groups of 1-5, and contribute to a dynamic and innovative team. Key Responsibilities:
Engage with scholars in grades K-8 to build on existing mathematics and/or literacy skills
Complete daily records on scholar progress and site needs using provided tools
Use data to drive instruction and communicate regularly with site coordinators
Participate in coaching from an instructional coach and use an asset-based approach in working with scholars
Collaborate with other tutors and site staff to provide optimum learning experiences
Requirements:
Experience working with young children, preferably in a learning and teaching capacity
New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form)
Experience with Google suite functions, including Google Sheets and Forms
Professional skills, including attention to detail, timely and proactive communication, and job preparedness
Reliable transportation to travel to sites
