We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Road and Bridge Operator I to join our team in Salida and Buena Vista, Colorado. As a key member of our Road and Bridge department, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the County's roads and bridges. Key Responsibilities:
Operate trucks and other light and heavy equipment in the repair and maintenance of County roads and bridges
Perform manual labor duties, including shoveling, raking, and tamping of asphalt, and controlling traffic work sites
Haul materials, such as gravel, asphalt, and concrete, in a tandem axle dump truck
Maintain equipment, including performing minor maintenance, CDL pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and routine service
Assist in forming and finishing concrete, maintaining culverts, and removing snow from streets and public thoroughfares

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent

Physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull burdens weighing up to 100 lbs and work in areas with extreme equipment noise
