Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers and family educators in planning and implementing educational activities and lesson plans
Provide support in areas such as education, transportation, food service, and cleaning
Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including supervising outdoor play and monitoring pick-up and drop-off
Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, respecting cultural diversity and promoting anti-biased practices
Attend regular training events, workshops, and meetings to stay up-to-date on program policies, procedures, and best practices
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and 6 months of experience working in a Head Start classroom or 1 year of experience working with preschool children in a classroom/childcare setting
Child Development Associate (CDA) or Certificate of Completion in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college (Level 2)
Proficient in computer use and related technology
Bilingual English-Spanish capabilities preferred
Registration with the Central Background Registry of the Child Care Division and pre-employment physical examination
