Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to join our team in Indian Rocks Beach, FL. As a Pre-K Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and making a lasting impact on their educational journey. Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Pre-K Teacher to lead our classroom and provide high-quality educational experiences for pre-school aged children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, and implement daily lesson plans that provide educational and enrichment activities for pre-school age children
Screen and assess children to determine developmental/educational needs and develop individual education plans
Monitor meal and snack periods, classroom and restroom activities, and playground activities to ensure a safe environment
Communicate with parents through conferences, written correspondence, and telephone to apprise them of child's progress
Conduct health checks on children and report any health concerns to the Health Coordinator
Ensure lessons and classroom activities align with the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Standards
Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree
Two years of experience teaching Head Start, Early Head Start, pre-school or kindergarten age children
Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area
Working knowledge of brain development, child development, and developmentally appropriate practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
