Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Transporter to join our team at Crothall Healthcare, a leading provider of specialized support services to the healthcare industry. As a Patient Transporter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items within the hospital. Key Responsibilities:
Transport patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations in a safe, timely, and accurate manner
Properly secure patients, IVs, drainage tubes, and other medical equipment during transport
Utilize wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to carry out essential duties
Demonstrate competency in transporting patients of all age groups
Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, and reception and dispatch staff
Ensure patient comfort and safety during transport, and alert nursing staff to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction
Maintain equipment and report any repairs needed
Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO
Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facility's HIPAA policies and procedures
