Make a Difference in the Lives of Children
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Part-Time FocusFirst Vision Screener. As a Vision Screener, you will play a vital role in our high-tech comprehensive vision screening initiative, FocusFirst, which provides vision screenings to preschool-aged children in all 67 counties of Alabama.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct non-invasive vision screenings using a portable vision screener (device and training provided)
Travel to and from vision screening sites across your assigned geographic region
Export and upload vision screening results to a secure drive
Provide exceptional customer service to center directors and children
Maintain complete confidentiality and represent the organization in a professional manner

What We Offer:

Competitive hourly rate of $18/hour
Flexible schedule averaging three weekday mornings per week (10-15 hours per week)
Mileage reimbursement as needed

Requirements:

Basic computer and internet knowledge, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Ability to interact with children and center directors in a professional manner
Pass a criminal background check
Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent the organization in a first-class manner

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while performing vision screenings
Ability to lift, move, and set up screening equipment (up to 10 pounds)
Good communication skills to interact with children and staff
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
