Job Summary
We are looking for a certified teacher to join our team as an Earth Space/Environmental Science High School Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and educating students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment. This is a 9-month position, and the salary will be based on the Teacher Salary Schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans to promote student success
Manage and educate students, helping them discover and fulfill their potential
Maintain a safe, inviting, and nurturing space for students, staff, and the community
Set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and uphold District discipline policies
Enhance Peoria Unified's culture by encouraging and strengthening parent and community partnerships
Adhere to effective policies, practices, and accountability of District resources
Requirements
A valid intern, provisional, or standard Arizona Teaching Certificate; or possess the necessary qualifications to become certified in the state of Arizona
Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Specialized teaching assignments may require additional training and/or certification
Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance check
