Join Our Team: Assistant/Associate Professor - Aquaculture Production
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant/Associate Professor to join our School of Fisheries, Aquaculture & Aquatic Sciences at Auburn University. As an aquaculture production specialist, you will play a key role in advancing our research and instructional programs in aquaculture production. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position with a focus on research (80%) and instruction (20%).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and conduct research programs in aquaculture production, with a focus on attracting extramural funding and publishing research findings
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in aquaculture production and related areas
Mentor graduate students and provide academic advising to undergraduate students
Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to develop and implement research programs
Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including students, faculty, and industry stakeholders
Requirements:
Earned Ph.D. in aquaculture, engineering, or related field at the time of employment
Publication record in aquaculture production research
Potential to attract extramural funding
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues across disciplines
Preferred Qualifications:
Postdoctoral training
Research area that complements existing School faculty
Experience mentoring graduate students
