Job Summary Position: UX Researcher (Contract) – 4+ months w2Location: 100% Remote – must be within 55 miles of San Diego, CA hubPay: $25.00 – $35.00/hr Responsibilities Develop research plans, workflows, user task analysis, personas, journey/experience maps, process flows, and service blueprints. Lead user research throughout the product lifecycle; plan and run usability studies, analyze data, conduct heuristic evaluations, facilitate workshops, and perform low- to high‑fidelity usability tests. Present findings to cross‑functional teams and negotiate trade‑offs between business goals, technical challenges, and customer experience. Coordinate and take direction from the lead researcher. Qualifications 3+ years of user experience research experience. Service blueprinting or process blueprinting experience. Qualitative research experience. Financial or trust services experience a plus. Skilled in moderated interviews, unmoderated usability tests, surveys (Qualtrics), other foundational UX research methods. Manage end‑to‑end participant engagement (scheduling, communication, logistics). Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, charts). Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years on project teams meeting timelines while managing competing priorities. Proven ability to navigate complex, high‑stakes business relationships with discretion. Core Competencies Clear, compelling, actionable communication of research insights. Strong strategic thinking and tactical execution. Excellent collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Discernment to pause and ask the right questions for strategic alignment. Preferences Experience with User Testing, Jira, Confluence, Figma. Agile/pod structure experience. Financial services familiarity. Cross‑functional partnership cultivation aligned to business priorities. Skills UX research, user research, qualitative research, quantitative research, user experience. Experience Level Intermediate Level Location Requirements San Diego – must be within 50 miles of the hub. Pay & Benefits Hourly: $25.00 – $35.00/hr.
