We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Residency, Tuition, and Certification Specialist to join our team at the University of Kansas. As a key member of our University Registrar's office, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our tuition and fee assessment, residency classification, and Veterans Affairs certification processes.
In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, faculty, and staff, to provide exceptional customer service and support. Your expertise and knowledge of complex policies and regulations will be essential in driving success and excellence in our operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Fee Assessment: Read, interpret, and apply complex data and policies regarding tuition, fee assessment, and fee adjustments.
Residency Classification: Make initial decisions regarding applicant residency status and assist with reviewing residency applications.
Veterans Affairs Certification: Interpret and apply federal policies and regulations regarding VA education benefit certification.
Athletics Compliance Processing: Assist with reviewing and maintaining student athlete records for certification requirements.

Requirements:

High school degree/GED
Two years of office experience or two years of post-secondary education
Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of financial-related work experience
Experience in record keeping
Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex rules and policies
