Job Title: Remote Metadata Technologist (Netflix Tagger) - Work from Home Opportunity

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Metadata Technologist to join our team as a Netflix Tagger. This is a remote opportunity with a competitive salary range of $20-$30 per hour. As a Metadata Technologist, you will play a crucial role in creating, guiding, and executing new concepts and approaches that bring context to Netflix content from pitch to play. As part of the Publication Insights team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative metadata solutions that help our members discover and enjoy their favorite content. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, Product Management, and Program Management, to scope and develop new ideas and approaches. Key Responsibilities: • Unite technology, data, and content expertise to drive innovative and functional excellence in all that we accomplish for Netflix. • Grow the possibilities and potential of context that can be inferred using algorithmic technology, driving innovation that takes us deeper into content knowledge and unlocks richer member value opportunities. • Produce new partnerships and strengthen existing ones by identifying potential new areas of collaboration and innovations that challenge the status quo. • Lead strategy within our algorithmic and automation initiatives by determining, validating, and building consensus on key strategies while acquiring support and buy-in from key stakeholders. • Manage projects from ideation to execution, working cross-functionally to pilot and launch new ideas and approaches once they have been validated. Requirements: • Experience working with, developing, and managing creative metadata and/or tagging systems on a global scale with the use of algorithmic technology. • Able to master understanding of the various approaches and techniques for using algorithmic technology and the pros/cons of each. • Demonstrated history of technical innovation, faithfully seen through to productization, particularly in high-scale production and publication environments. • Experience managing projects across the development and execution lifecycle within highly cross-functional, non-hierarchical, or matrixed working environments. • Passion for storytelling with a deep understanding of the worlds of TV, films, gaming, and entertainment. • Comfortable in "left brain" (logical) and "right brain" (creative) problem-solving, understanding how to leverage data and insights to drive value and impact. • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and presentational. • Established and authentic collaboration, problem-solving, and compromise skills. • Experience working with engineering, product management, and data science teams.
