Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled EMS Dispatcher to join our team at Essentia Health in Duluth, MN. As a Remote EMS Dispatcher, you will be responsible for dispatching ground transportation teams, communicating with referring and receiving physicians, and ensuring effective communication with various stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of emergency medical services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch ground transportation teams and follow flights during transport
Communicate with referring and receiving physicians, nursing staff, 911 dispatch centers, and EMS personnel
Multi-task while maintaining effective communication skills in stressful situations
Relay medical information to hospital departments and direct authorities to the appropriate place on campus
Monitor video and intrusion systems and dispatch internal patient transportation
Respond to Lifeline emergency calls and enter data into database systems for information gathering and report generation
Requirements:
EMT-Basic certification or equivalent with current licensure in Minnesota or Wisconsin
Ability to complete EMT-Basic and obtain licensure in Minnesota or Wisconsin within one year from date of hire
