Join Our Team: Patient Services Associate - Main Operating Room at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where we champion collaborative healthcare and prioritize patient care. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Associate to provide exceptional support to our Patient Management Team in the Main Operating Room.
As a Patient Services Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, working under the direct supervision of our Registered Nurses and other licensed healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient care activities, documenting patient information, and providing comfort measures to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist patients with direct patient care, including grooming, oral hygiene, and mobility-related activities
Accurately document patient care tasks, vital signs, and other relevant information
Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to facilitate patient care and resolve issues
Support department members in performing their duties and serve as a resource for information and solutions
Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients, and transport patients to other areas of the hospital as needed

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of patient care experience in a healthcare setting
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Basic life support certification (BLS) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
