About the Role

The Promotion Platforms Data Experiences team at arenaflex is seeking a talented ML Data Scientist to join our Product and Client Analysis Group. This is an extraordinary opportunity to work at the cutting edge of data science and digital advertising, where you'll play a pivotal role in transforming vast amounts of raw data into actionable business insights that drive meaningful user experiences and advertiser success.

In this position, you will function as a critical member of a data-driven team dedicated to the analysis, experimentation, enhancement, implementation, and measurement of analytical solutions that directly impact our business. You'll be responsible for turning the enormous volumes of data generated by user searches, app content, and platform contexts into powerful business insights that improve the end-user experience while simultaneously driving app discovery and profitability for developers.

Key Responsibilities


Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyze massive datasets derived from user behavior, application content, and platform interactions to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that enhance our advertising ecosystem
Machine Learning Model Development: Build and deploy predictive models, classification algorithms, and recommendation systems that power our advertising technology stack
Business Intelligence: Translate complex quantitative findings into clear, actionable business recommendations that influence product strategy and roadmap decisions
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions that meet evolving business needs
A/B Testing & Experimentation: Design, execute, and analyze large-scale experiments to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of new features and advertising products
Dashboard & Reporting: Develop comprehensive reporting dashboards and automated analytics pipelines that enable stakeholders to monitor key performance indicators and make informed decisions
Data Infrastructure: Collaborate with engineering partners to ensure robust data pipelines and infrastructure that support analytical workloads at scale
Privacy-First Analytics: Apply privacy-preserving techniques and methodologies that align with our unwavering commitment to user privacy and data protection


Essential Qualifications


Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Advanced degrees (Master's or PhD) are highly valued but not required
Professional Experience: Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or quantitative analysis roles
Industry Experience: Strong preference for candidates with experience in digital advertising, ad tech, or product analytics, particularly those familiar with clickstream data and A/B testing methodologies
Technical Proficiency:

Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
Proficiency with modern data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
Familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI


Analytical Expertise: Deep experience with complex quantitative analyses including regression modeling, clustering, classification, time-series analysis, and causal inference
Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders in clear, compelling narratives that drive action
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment with evolving priorities and requirements

Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
Experience with large-scale distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop)
Knowledge of advertising technology ecosystem and programmatic advertising concepts
Experience with recommendation systems and personalization algorithms
Familiarity with privacy-preserving machine learning techniques
