Job Summary:

The Equipment Operations Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our equipment and machinery. You will work closely with our operations team to identify areas for improvement, implement process enhancements, and optimize equipment performance. Your expertise will be instrumental in reducing downtime, increasing productivity, and driving cost savings. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of equipment, from mechanical and electrical systems to advanced technologies and automation.

Key Responsibilities:


Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with the operations team to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, optimize equipment settings, and recommend improvements.
Develop and implement training programs to ensure that operators are proficient in the safe and effective operation of equipment.
Provide technical support and guidance to operators and maintenance personnel to resolve equipment-related issues.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation, reduce costs, and enhance overall equipment performance.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including equipment manuals, operating procedures, and maintenance records.
Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source equipment, parts, and services, ensuring that all purchases are made in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive equipment performance and innovation.


Requirements:


High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field) preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in equipment operation, maintenance, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and optimize equipment performance.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with operators, maintenance personnel, and other stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other technical software applications.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a variety of environmental conditions (e.g., noise, heat, cold).


Preferred Qualifications:


Certifications in equipment operation, maintenance, or a related field (e.g., CMRP, CEM, or equivalent).
Experience with automation, robotics, or other advanced technologies.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
Experience with data analysis and performance metrics (e.g., OEE, MTBF, MTTR).
Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute equipment-related projects.
