Job Responsibilities:
As a Technician at American Airlines, you will be responsible for:
Resolving and closing tickets/work orders supporting end-user desktops and peripherals
Answering customer care issues escalated from the Helpdesk
Contributing to desktop projects (global installs/upgrades) as a project team member
Remotely diagnosing and resolving requests using remote tools
Investigating and collaborating with other departments to assist with system-related issues
Documenting customer interactions in incident management system including asset management
Recovering data from hard disk drives or performing data migration
Supporting remote access for virtual private network connectivity as well as remote/broadband connectivity for laptops
Installing and configuring local and network-based printers
Performing security support
Working various shifts, and events, being available for any emergencies, and traveling as required
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience/Training
4 years of hands-on IT work experience supporting and resolving various PC desktop software and hardware issues
Firsthand experience supporting personal computers in a Windows/TCPIP environment
General knowledge of all Windows-based operating systems including Windows 10
Knowledge of workflow and ticketing systems
Information on VPN network and ability to troubleshoot issues
Ability to work independently and act in a collaborative, team-based environment
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
A+ certification
MCSE/MCP is a plus
Past IT infrastructure experience in Carrier/Airport environment
