Join Our Team as an Accountant II - School Support Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant II to join our team as a School Support Specialist. As a key member of our accounting team, you will provide on-site and phone/email support to school-based staff responsible for processing and overseeing school activity funds and school operating budgets.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily, monthly, and year-end accounting support to the entire school system
Review, reconcile, and analyze reports, and prepare annual consolidated financial statements
Monitor compliance with established policies and procedures, and develop training materials and conduct training sessions
Assist with the design and development of automated systems for accounting-related functions
Collaborate with principals, school-based secretaries, fiscal assistants, and other account managers to resolve accounting issues

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience, with governmental and/or accounting experience preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), GFOA Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO), or other relevant certifications preferred
Thorough knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting business practices
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
