As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with our Director of Student Support Services, supporting internal and external academic and enrichment programs that cater to the diverse needs of our METCO students. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain educational partnerships to secure resources and supports for students
Design, implement, and oversee academic programs that foster academic skills and help bridge achievement gaps
Manage day-to-day operations of academic and enrichment programs, including registration, information sessions, and documentation
Facilitate educational and enrichment workshops, and evaluate program effectiveness
Recruit, train, and match academic mentors for Homework Club, and collaborate with tutoring partners to provide tutorial programming
Support enrichment partnerships and programs, such as summer camps, mentorship initiatives, and after-school activities
Assist in setting up summer school programs, including securing locations, resources, and staff
Oversee the use of the onsite computer lab, and serve as a liaison for credit recovery processes and IEP support
Design and manage resource fairs, and intervene in academic program issues to provide timely support and follow-up
Maintain accurate records, update databases, and prepare periodic reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, with related degrees preferred (Education, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work)
1+ years of experience working in non-profit programming, with a focus on education, health, and economic disparities among diverse populations
Experience working with youth, and knowledge of programming that addresses education, health, and economic disparities
Collaborative work style, with excellent communication skills (written, oral) and the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Prior oversight experience with academic support and/or tutorial programs, and experience with Google Suite, online research, databases, and Salesforce
Comfort with fast-paced work environments, adaptability to change, and a strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Outgoing personality, with the ability to motivate students and provide self-direction to accomplish work assignments and goals
Bilingual (Spanish/English) and/or (Haitian Creole/English) preferred, with cultural competence and experience working with diverse populations
