JOB TITLE (#25022): Mental and Behavioral Health RN / VA Reviewer - Remote
Minimum of 5 years active clinical practice within the specialty and 2 years of recent experience.
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Mental and Behavioral Health Registered Nurse - VA Reviewer to fill an opening with a Non-profit organization.
Requirements of the Mental and Behavioral Health RN / VA Reviewer:
Ā Must hold a current, non-restricted license in a U.S. state or territory.
Ā Must be actively engaged in the practice of medicine and maintain active hospital privileges.
Ā Must be board-certified.
Ā Must have a minimum of 5 years of active clinical practice within the specialty and 2 years of recent experience in the specialty they are reviewing for.
Ā Work a minimum of 20 clinical hours per month.
Benefits of the Mental and Behavioral Health RN / VA Reviewer:
Ā VA per Case Rates (subject to change per contract year).
Ā A one-time flat rate of $150 will be paid upon obtaining the VA PIV card.
Ā Reviewer time is not compensated for training.
Ā Cases are compensated at a flat rate per case and per case type:
Ā Audits FRRs (Facility Requested Reviews) - $95 / case.
Ā MAOs (Medical Advisory Opinions) - $225 / case.
Responsibilities of the Mental and Behavioral Health RN / VA Reviewer:
Ā Audits/ Facility Requested:
Ā Quality Management Reviews.
Ā Standardized set of questions.
Ā Was the standard of care timely and appropriate?
Ā Approx. 1 hr. to complete.
Ā Management Other Cases:
Ā Non-standardized set of questions.
Ā Cases can be initiated for any number of performance improvement indicators.
Ā Approx. 1 hr. to complete.
Ā Medical Advisory Opinions:
Ā Non-standardized set of questions by attorneys.
Ā Typically initiated by patient complaints and malpractice concerns.
Ā Approx. 2Ā4 hrs. to complete.
Ā All VA case reviews are protected and reviewers will not be asked to present in court.
