Inviting applications for the role of Jira Advocate – Senior Manager – English– Remote EU/EMEA In this role, the candidate will be responsible for promoting the use of JIRA within the organization, providing training and support to users, and ensuring that best practices are followed. This role requires a deep understanding of JIRA, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams Responsibilities • Promote JIRA Usage: Advocate for the adoption and effective use of JIRA across the organization. Conduct workshops, webinars, and training sessions to educate users on JIRA’s capabilities and best practices • User Support: Provide ongoing support to JIRA users, addressing any issues or questions they may have. Assist with the configuration and customization of JIRA projects to meet the needs of different teams. • Best Practices: Develop and maintain documentation on JIRA best practices, workflows, and processes. Ensure that teams are following these guidelines to maximize efficiency and productivity. • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that JIRA is being used effectively to support their projects. • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest JIRA features and updates. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance the user experience. Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. • Significant years of experience working with JIRA, including configuration, customization, and user support. • Strong understanding of JIRA workflows, permissions, and project configurations. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Experience with other Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket) is a plus. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills • Certifications: JIRA Administrator or similar certification. • Experience: Previous experience in a similar advocate or training role. • Technical Skills: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) for JIRA automation.
