Job Title: Java Developer

Salary: $90,000-$145,000 per year
Position Overview: We are seeking a Java Developer to support our DoD team working on highly visible projects utilizing leading edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Develop new web-based applications and extend the functionality of existing tools
ā¢ Recreate legacy systems using modern technologies and techniques
ā¢ Use Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL to create, extend, and maintain custom internal- and external-facing tools and applications
ā¢ Test code, features, business rules, and integrations
ā¢ Troubleshoot and fix website, application, and user support issues.
ā¢ Work closely with Project Manager, customers, and other staff members to collect requirements, estimate work, and ensure that tasks are deployed according to schedule
ā¢ Design and envision new web-based systems in response to customer technical requirements
Qualifications/Desired Skills:
Required Skills:
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
ā¢ Equivalent applicable experience can be considered in lieu of a 4-year degree
ā¢ U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
ā¢ Foundational programming knowledge and experience in:
ā¢ Five (5) or more years of Object-Oriented Programming experience with Java
ā¢ Five (5) or more years of Agile software development process experience
ā¢ Five (5) or more years of web-based programming experience
ā¢ Unix and Windows operating systems experience
In addition to these skills, we also desire a candidate who has experience with the following:
ā¢ Java Persistence API (JPA)
ā¢ JavaServer Faces (JSF)
ā¢ Java Database Connectivity (JDBC)
ā¢ Oracle PL/SQL or SQL/mySQL programming
ā¢ Deploying applications to cloud-based systems
