General Statement of Job
Keeps building in a clean and orderly condition, by performing the following duties...
Essential Duties:
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms : floors, fixtures, mirrors, doors, etc. Replenish restroom supplies. Dispose of trash.
Cleans, disposes of trash, vacuums, sweeps, dust-mops, wet-mops hallways, stairways, entrances, entrance glass, offices, according to custodial standards.
Maintains the outside entrances, walks and steps. This will include routine sweeping and spreading ice-melt when necessary.
Establishes and maintains a positive and cooperative working relationship with other staff members.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Ability to effectively communicate with staff, administration and visitors.
Ability to accurately complete supply requests, etc.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Ability to effectively work both individually and as a member of a team in a service-oriented environment subject to frequently changing priorities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and work on his or her feet for several hours at a time; bend, stoop, climb ladder/stairs and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The employee is occasionally required to work overhead, using a ladder.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Typically the employee works indoors. Occasionally the employee will be required to work outside the building in inclement weather cleaning entrances, shoveling snow, hauling trash, washing windows or maintaining outdoor flower beds.

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
