Higher ed needs to catch up, and we’re leading the way - come join us!About the CourseWe are launching a new IT Fundamentals course designed to equip students with a practical, foundational understanding of information technology systems.Topics include:Computer hardware and peripheral componentsOperating systems and application softwareBasics of software developmentDatabase fundamentalsSecurity and privacy essentialsThis course will prepare students for the digital landscape of modern business and technical environments.About the RoleWe are hiring Teaching Assistants to support this course during the Fall 2025 quarter. Ideal candidates are passionate about expanding access to technical education and love working with first- and second-year college students.As a TA, you’ll play a critical role in helping students understand technical content, stay engaged, and build confidence.ResponsibilitiesSupport and mentor 30–40 students throughout the termAttend live lectures (between 9:00am–1:00pm ET or 6:00pm–10:00pm ET)Lead one 60-minute discussion section per weekHold one office hour per weekGrade assignments and provide constructive feedbackCommunicate proactively with students and the instructorTime Commitment: 8–10 hours per weekQualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or related fieldExperience teaching, tutoring, or training in technical subjectsComfort using online education tools and platformsPreferred:Currently pursuing a graduate degree or working in a technical/business roleExperience in IT support, cybersecurity, systems, or softwarePrevious experience in online teaching or facilitationWillingness to TA for future quarters and/or multiple sectionsCompensation$2,000 per 4-credit course / 11-week quarter$1,185 per 1–2 credit course / 11-week quarterUpcoming Quarters:Fall 2025: October 6, 2025 – December 18, 2025PerksFully remote and flexible schedulingJoin a cutting-edge, mission-driven education teamMake a real difference for nontraditional students entering the digital workforceOriginally posted on Himalayas
