IT Support Consultant, Data Center Operations
About the position
Responsibilities
• Design and implement processes to enhance operational efficiency in data center operations.
• Drive process improvements and automation within the data center.
• Develop reports and key metrics for operational performance.
• Document standard operating procedures and operational level agreements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and availability.
• Provide advanced support for raised floor incident resolution.
• Ensure all personnel accessing the data center are trained and authorized.
• Support effective utilization of raised floor capacity and maintain accurate DCIM records.
• Drive raised floor efficiency programs focusing on cost reduction and space utilization.
• Plan, allocate, and track data center raised floor space.
Requirements
• Minimum five (5) years experience supporting a large scale computing environment.
• Minimum two (2) years in a leadership role working with IT or operational teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Social Science, Education, Business, Health Care or related field.
• Minimum eight (8) years IT experience in a support or operations environment, with additional equivalent work experience substituting for the degree requirement.
Nice-to-haves
• Three (3) years experience assisting with data center continuity planning.
• Four (4) years media handling experience.
