IT Procurement & Contract Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Procurement and Contract Manager to lead capital sourcing activities and oversee complex contract negotiations across hardware, software, and services. This role is critical to managing strategic sourcing initiatives, contract compliance, and vendor relationships in a fast-paced IT environment. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with large-scale technology purchases and contract redlining.
Responsibilities:
• Manage sourcing and procurement for IT hardware, software (including SaaS), and professional services.
• Oversee the full contract lifecycle including negotiations, redlining, change orders, claims, and warranties.
• Develop and execute innovative contracting strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, legal, finance, and vendor teams to ensure contract performance and compliance.
• Maintain key supplier relationships and evaluate contractor qualifications through RFPs and other vetting methods.
• Monitor and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring strong attention to detail and performance-based metrics.
• Support project management initiatives related to procurement and IT contract execution.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or related field (or 10+ years of equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of experience in capital procurement with a focus on large-scale IT sourcing.
• Proven track record in vendor negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of project planning and scheduling.
• * Preferred:
• Experience with SAP, Ariba, and e-sourcing platforms.
• 5+ years managing IT and telecom contracts.
• Graduate degree or relevant certifications (CPM, CPSM, CPSD, PMP).
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or process improvement initiatives.
• Supplier diversity program experience.
Additional Notes:
The scope of this role goes far beyond ordering standard equipment. We re looking for someone who has sourced and negotiated large software deals and large server/hardware purchases.
Prior experience handling end-to-end analysis, OEM engagement, and competitive bidding processes is crucial.
Detail orientation is a must, especially around contract redlining and compliance documentation.
