IT Network Engineer - Operations and Reliability - Evernorth Health Services - Hybrid
About the position
As a member of the Cigna Healthcare team, you will provide exceptional technical support for all remote site infrastructures while assisting with various assignments and projects. This role requires a confident and outspoken decision maker who can investigate and resolve problems across the entire information technology spectrum, including wireless access points, security appliances, switches, and other technologies. You will support the design, analysis, development, and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions for complex business needs. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, and customer expectations. You may also be involved in creating design specifications and developing utility programs to address infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise. In this position, you will conduct risk assessments, partner on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and diagnose and correct application and network problems. You may serve as the primary contact for vendors, ensuring that technologies spanning mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving are effectively managed. Your deep professional knowledge and acumen will allow you to advise functional leaders and provide thought leadership within infrastructure support, establishing yourself as a recognized subject matter expert internally. Your job duties will include provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining hardware, software, and networks in both new and existing remote sites, ensuring system availability and reliability. You will work with a team on an out-of-hours on-call support rotation and collaborate with internal teams for day-to-day activities. Configuring and installing various network devices and services, such as switches and routers, will be part of your responsibilities. You will proactively contribute to documentation, automation, and processes as they evolve, including standard operating procedures. Additionally, you will seek opportunities to introduce cutting-edge technology and automation solutions that enhance the efficiency and scalability of our infrastructure deployment and maintenance.

Requirements
Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNP or equivalent skill and experience)

Experience in WAN/LAN and transport technologies (Ethernet, MPLS, TDM, DMVPN)

SD-WAN Deployment Experience (Viptela)
,
Deploying Cisco networks utilizing industry best practices

Cisco Wireless Configurations (CCNP level or equivalent skill and experience)
