Attabotics is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with fulfillment centers across the United States and Canada.The RoleWe are seeking an IT Network Designer to join our Information Technology team.The IT Network Designer will play a key role designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients’ network infrastructures. This position focuses on optimizing performance, ensuring reliability, and supporting the growth of our product and client success. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience and is eager to continue growing their expertise in network technologies and security. Who you are Completed bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent4-6+ years of hands-on experience in planning, designing, and implementing network infrastructures (e.g., Cisco IOS, SD-WAN, Meraki, wireless RF)CCNA (or equivalent) certification preferred; Meraki, CCNP, or Azure Network Engineer Associate are plusesSolid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN)Familiarity with Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and Zigbee/Digi XBeeKnowledge of Azure network services beneficialExperience with RF propagation models, predictive analysis, and simulation tools is nice to haveFamiliarity with network automation (e.g., Python) is a plusSecurity Awareness: Understanding of network security principles and best practicesExcellent interpersonal skills; comfortable working cross-functionally to solve problemsDemonstrated interest in staying current on emerging technologies and best practicesAbility to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally What we need Design, deploy, and maintain network while working in Cisco LAN/WAN, data center, IoT edge networks, and Azure cloud environmentsIdentify and resolve network outages in coordination with internal IT staff, vendors, and field servicesSupport the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systemsDesign and manage wireless networks (e.g., Wi-Fi, Digi), including site surveys and spectrum analysis to optimize coverage and performanceProactively track network performance, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to enhance reliabilityPerform network capacity planning and traffic analysis to maintain scalabilityCreate and maintain documentation for network designs, configurations, and proceduresStay current on network infrastructure hardware and software solutions; recommend and evaluate new tools and technologiesEnsure end users benefit from a reliable, secure, and high-performing network, supporting efficient access to the systems and services they needCoordinate to ensure adherence to security protocols and support in addressing security-related incidentsLiaise for hardware and software procurement, support, and warranty claims to ensure uninterrupted service and equipment availability Additional Information If this description describes you perfectly and the work environment you know you can thrive in, send us your resume as well as describe to us what you’re passionate about and we may just reach out to you.Attabotics is committed to employing the best people to do the best job possible within our environment.
