IT Healthcare Consultant - Project Manager - Project Lead

Job Title: IT Healthcare Consultant - Project Manager - Project Lead ( 9814) Location: Columbia, SC 29210 Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Contract Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible) Interview Process: 1 Round - Virtual Candidate Requirement: Must be a South Carolina resident (No relocation allowed) Position Overview The IT Healthcare Consultant will serve as a Project Manager / Project Lead and function as a Product Owner for one or more MES Core components. This role requires strong Medicaid domain expertise, systems integration experience, and Agile leadership capabilities. Key Responsibilities • Serve as Product Owner for MES Core modules • Define product capabilities and roadmap • Break down capabilities into epics, features, and user stories • Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog • Document epics and stories with clear acceptance criteria • Collaborate with development teams to refine and estimate stories • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) • Provide continuous product guidance and clarification • Review and sign off on completed stories • Act as liaison between MES Core team and external stakeholders • Support production issue resolution and troubleshooting • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the agency Required Skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 5+ years equivalent Project Management experience • 5+ years experience working with State Medicaid systems • 3+ years experience as a Project Manager or similar leadership role • 2+ years experience in systems integration, data exchange, and/or data transformation • 1+ year experience working on large IT projects • 5+ years experience with X12 Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions • 5+ years experience working with APIs • Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills • Project Management Certification (PMP preferred) • 3+ years experience as an Agile Product Owner About US: InterSources Inc. is a Small, Woman, and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise, ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2 Type 2 certified company with massive 18+ years of diversified experience in providing IT Consulting Services, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis, Application Development, Cloud Services, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, ERP Management, Custom Software Development, Web Development, UI/ UX Design, System Integration, QA Support etc. We make reasonable accommodations for clients and employees, and we do not discriminate based on any protected attribute including race, religion, color, national origin, gender sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or marital status.
