IT Consultant / Technical Business Analyst for SAP based Supplier Portal
The project is an exciting and complex software implementation project for an international enterprise in the energy sector (Turbines and other power plant equipment). The goal of the project is to build a supplier portal for logistical processes in the area of traceability, procurement and logistics.
The project’s technical foundation is a SAP HANA backend combined with SAP Fiori/U15 frontend technology, integrated with multiple databases, legacy systems. SAPD Ariba knowledge is plus but not required.
Role Overview:
In this role, you will work at the intersection of business and technology with a strong focus on technical solution design, stakeholder management, and collaboration with the developer team.
You will partner closely with a very experienced Principal Business Analyst / Requirements analyst that supports this project already. While supported during ramp-up, you will independently manage parts of the business stakeholder scope and technical implementation stream, ensuring that requirements are both clearly defined and technically practical.
Project Setup:
Duration: 8 month (Starting in 4 weeks) - extension highly likely
Location: remote (occasional workshops in Berlin or Erlangen possible)
Methodology: Agile software development with international stakeholders and implementation team (including USA, Germany, Poland, Thailand, India)
Technical Aspects: Backend Development mostly in SAP (MM / Logistics / Serialization / Handling Unit Management) Frontend mostly in SAP UI5/Fiori, Multiple Databases and legacy systems, AWS Cloud environment.
Time zone alignment: Europe preferred - near shore candidates are strongly favored (Poland and Czech)
Key responsibilities:
Collaborate with SAP backend and SAP Fiori developers to design and validate technical solutions
Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications, including process flows, data mappings and interface definitions
Analyse and align SAP processes (MM, LE and partially PLM and Document Management) within procurement and logistics areas
Work with developers on backlog refinement, grooming sessions and spring planning to align user stories with technical feasibility and effort.
Maintain high-qualify documentations of requirements, technical decisions, and test results in Confluence and JIRA
Coordinate workshops and maintain clear communication between stakeholders and the distributed development team (Germany, Poland, Thailand, India and USA)
Technical Background Desired:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Strong understanding of SAP architecture (HANA, UI5/Fiori, MM/LE modules).
Previous experience in software development or technical analysis is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with APIs, integration patterns, and agile software delivery.
