IT Computer/Network Tech/Consultant - REMOTE

Worksite can be in our Burlington Office. • *If the residence is more than 100 miles from our location (nationwide), then work from home is available. Must have previous expierence working from home, self disapline, and verifiable references. Local computer firm that is hired by area businesses as a IT solution to their computer problems. We provide Tier 2 support to companies that currently have a tech on staff and Tier 1 support to companies that don't require the need for a full time computer tech. Due to the nature of our business we offer hands on training with every possible technology available. Since we have a vast variety of customers we have the ability to work with almost every solution available enabling our employees to obtain a great deal of experience that they would typically not receive being in a single IT department in a small or large corporation because WE are the IT department for hundreds of area businesses with different needs. Whether it is a Business that needs support to depots across the US or a bank needing to link 8 branches we are always doing something different. NETWORK TECH JOB DESCRIPTION: • Training of other employees in a certain area of work • Going onsite to visit with customers and repair problems at their location • Company vehicles are provided and travel is limited to a 100 mile radius of our office. • Act as tier-2 support for companies that currently have a IT person on staff and needs help occasionally for more advanced issues. • Setting up and beta testing the newest technologies that get released in the market. • Working with several fortune 1000 companies and providing them with field tech support in the area. • * SOME TECHNOLOGIES THAT NETWORK TECHS SUPPORT: • Office 365 • Sophos XGS • Huntress • Ninja • N-Able • Filemaker • Windows 2012/2019 Active Directory Administration and Implementation Citrix/Windows Terminal services setup and support • Setting up VPN's using Cisco Firewalls, Sophos Firewall's, Cisco Switches. • Installing and managing virus software on large scale networks • Microsoft SQL Server • Providing support via the help desk phone calls • Going onsite to visit with customers and repair problems at their location • Company vehicles are provided and travel is limited to a 100 mile radius of our office • Fixing computers that come in for repair (motherboard, spyware, viruses, upgrades) • Advising new customers on what computer to purchase • * REQUIREMENTS: • 2-3 Year experience in the networking field • College education, MCSE, or A+ Required • * BENEFITS: • Profit sharing • MCSE/A+ Training • IRA Retirement with Employee/Employer matching program Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Employee discount • Life insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Tuition reimbursement Application Question(s): • Have you worked remote before and have a reference? • Can you pass a criminal background check?
