Position Overview
As an IT Business Analyst – IT Facilities, you will provide IT administration of expert services, project management, and support to ensure the functional sustainability of the critical infrastructure that supports our airport communication spaces for arenaflex's IT Facilities Group. This role is pivotal in maintaining the operational excellence that our organization is known for, and you'll be working at the intersection of technology, facilities management, and strategic planning.
The IT Facilities Group at arenaflex is responsible for comprehensive management of site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, accompanying, protection strategies of support, and break/fix services for data center critical infrastructure, IT certification labs, and remote communication room critical environment equipment. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver seamless services to millions of customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a wide range of technical and managerial duties designed to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our IT facilities infrastructure. Here's what you can expect:
IT Administration and Support: Provide expert IT administration services and project management support to ensure the operational sustainability of critical infrastructure supporting airport communication spaces
Data Center Management: Oversee all site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, and protection strategies for data center critical infrastructure, IT certification labs, and remote communication room equipment
Laboratory Support: Provide IT support for labs that align our client application and engineering teams with workstations, hardware, and access to test their applications effectively
Remote Coordination: Coordinate with professional services responsible for critical infrastructure support and break-fix activities at remote communication rooms
Infrastructure Monitoring: Manage, operate, maintain, and monitor all critical facilities infrastructure for data center and remote communication room equipment
Standards Development: Develop data center and remote communication room standards for space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure
Fiber Network Maintenance: Support IT Facilities grounds fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of the airport and grounds facilities underground fiber ring
Policy Implementation: Recommend and implement departmental policies, guidelines, regulations, and procedures while ensuring compliance with all governing corporate standards
Project Management: Manage data center and remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements from conception to completion
Vendor Management: Select IT and critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, securing best prices for products and services, and ensuring vendors meet their contractual obligations
Capacity Management: Manage space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity to ensure optimal performance of all critical systems
System Design Oversight: Oversee the design, implementation, and vendor support of appropriate electrical power, A/C, fire suppression, security, floor support, and cabling programs for communication rooms
Incident Management: Provide proactive and break-fix support for alarm/ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center hardware
Standards Creation: Develop Design Standards for Remote Communication Room Space, UPS, air conditioning, Generators, and Fire Life and Safety (FLS) systems
Documentation Review: Review and store maintenance records, ensuring inconsistencies are remediated promptly
Change Control: Maintain strict adherence to change control activities to ensure system integrity and compliance
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need a combination of technical expertise, managerial skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The following minimum qualifications are required:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong ability to build and maintain effective communication and relationships with supervisory teams, vendors, and peers
In-depth knowledge of data center technology and critical facilities infrastructure
Proven project management experience with remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancements
Capital forecasting and project management experience for airport critical equipment life cycle replacement
Experience supporting Corporate Real Estate projects involving remote communication room design/work as an IT Facilities representative and on-site assessment reporting
Expertise in space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management
Strong skills in selecting critical facilities services with accurate documentation and vendor management
Ability to oversee the design, implementation, and vendor support of electrical power, cooling, fire suppression, security, floor support, and cabling programs
Experience providing proactive and break-fix support for alarm/ticket remediation
Knowledge of operational sustainability of airport critical environment infrastructure
Ability to develop Design Standards for Remote Communication Room Space, UPS, air conditioning, Generators, and Fire Life and Safety systems
Strong remote coordination skills for airport critical infrastructure support and break-fix activities
Excellent documentation review and discrepancy remediation skills
Capability to provide remote Incident Management resolution for airport critical equipment
Experience with remote installation, configuration, and operational support
Strong adherence to change control activities
Excellent ability to balance multiple priorities within established time limitations
Flexibility to support operations with changing shifts, extended hours, and emergency on-call requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
Five or more years of relevant experience in IT facilities management
Trade School Graduate with technical certifications
IT Project Management Experience (minimum 2 years) in a high-availability communication room or data center operating environment
Experience with daily operational requirements and the operation of production systems and equipment
Industry certifications such as BICSI, CDC, or equivalent
Experience with ITIL framework and best practices
