IT Auditor (Part-Time) - Security and Privacy (NIST/MARS-E)

Salary commensurate with experience* Overview: We are seeking a part-time IT Auditor who will support our client by executing program audits, including client interactions and ensuring high-quality audit delivery. This role involves identifying potential issues and opportunities for improving audit processes and efficiencies, with a strong focus on information systems and IT security. The selected candidate will support navigating internal systems and completing onboarding tasks (EME workstream, IT workstream, HR training, and understanding line-of-service standards) and will be accountable for meeting all onboarding training requirements. Duties: • Execute day-to-day activities of program audit engagements, ensuring high-quality outcomes, including testing IT controls as part of the audit process. • Interact with clients, providing clear communication and support throughout the audit lifecycle. • Identify and communicate potential issues and opportunities for audit process improvements. • Maintain and draft audit work papers and interact effectively with process owners. • Independently resolve problems and make decisions to meet challenging client requirements. • Support navigating internal systems and completing onboarding tasks (EME workstream, IT workstream, HR training, line-of-service standards) and ensure all required onboarding training is completed on time. Mandatory Qualifications: • 4+ years of experience with knowledge of NIST/MARS-E requirements (versions 2.0 & 3.0) and recent program audit experience. • 2+ years in information systems auditing. • Strong background in IT Security audit work. • Proficiency in auditing, drafting, and maintaining audit work papers. • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytic, and research abilities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel. Desirable Qualifications: • Experience with state-based exchanges is advantageous but not mandatory.
