IT Analyst, Artificial Intelligence
About the position The IT Analyst, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will support the deployment and enablement of scalable, reusable, and innovative enterprise-wide AI technologies. This role will play a key part in building out our internal AI Hub intelligence augmentation capabilities, with a focus on enabling and expanding our enterprise Microsoft Copilot Chat and ChatGPT platform, internal Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools, and long-term service capabilities. The role contributes to the planning, financing, implementation, and scaling of core AI services that support intelligence augmentation across the business. It focuses on operating, optimizing, and analyzing AI systems and operations to enhance business performance. HYBRID WORK POLICY Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change. Responsibilities • Support the design, develop, and maintain AI Hub intelligent augmentation tools and implement strategies • Build scalable frameworks and shared services to support secure, compliant GenAI use across Eversource. • Support custom development of AI-powered applications, tools, and endpoints supporting internal teams and users. • Drive to enable and extend Enterprise ChatGPT and custom GPT capabilities through analysis of use cases and personas. • Partner with AI Architects, DevOps, and Eversource Architects to process & document new AI standards. • Partner with Portfolio manager to process AI Intakes into the AI Hub • Contribute to documentation and support knowledge transfer across engineering and AI delivery teams. • Stay current on emerging trends in MLOps, LLM integration, and AI infrastructure scaling strategies. Requirements • Technical Knowledge/Skill: Experience with AI models and technology deployment best practices. • Familiarity with capital project management, design, and approvals. • Ability to learn debugging, testing, and documentation skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced, iterative environment. • The ideal candidate will have a strong business and customer-faced background, with an ability to translate technical components to non-technical audiences. • Ability to navigate complex utility processes to ensure speed and regulatory compliance. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business or related field. Master’s degree preferred. • Experience : Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with at least 1+ years focused on AI exposure. • Hands-on experience using OpenAI or MS Copilot Chat • Familiarity with utility capital finance processes and procurement • Experience working in a utility with cross sectional collaboration with IT or in IT itself • Azure Fundamentals Certification preferred Nice-to-haves • Master’s degree preferred. • Utility industry experience is a plus. • Azure Fundamentals Certification preferred Benefits • Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. • Check out our careers site for an overview of our benefits programs. • Salary is commensurate with your experience. • This position is eligible for a potential incentive.
