iSeries Developer
The Application Developer will perform business analysis, write specs, and design and lead specific projects. The position will accomplish multiple tasks in the areas of coding, support, and analysis. The iSeries Programmer/Analyst will prepare regular formal project updates and provide guidance to the other members of the team in order to improve the department’s overall performance. The iSeries Programmer/Analyst will possess the ability to translate client requirements into development of iSeries applications. The position will perform troubleshooting and implement code changes as they are supplied by clients. Coding phases will include development, modification, testing, implementation, and maintenance of information systems to support business operations.
• Working knowledge of iSeries programming using RPG (all levels), CLP, SQL, Query 400.
• Knowledge of information systems policies, procedures and terms.
• Knowledge of database design.
• Knowledge of debugging tools including STRDBG and STRISDB.
• BRMS knowledge a plus.
• Strong analytical ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, and Office.
• Candidate should be able to multitask; including running several projects simultaneously and is able to speak to the progress of each following a SDLC.
• Familiarity with Visual Basic programming.
• Familiarity with Web/internet programming.
