IRA New Accounts Specialist I
Job Purpose & Scope
Responsible for performing daily back-office deposit operation functions and for assisting existing and new retail branch locations with performing IRA/HSA new account responsibilities in a professional and accurate manner according to Bank policy and procedure.
Essential Job Functions
Performs daily back-office IRA/HSA new account verification functions.
Assists branch staff in performing IRA/HSA new account responsibilities in a professional and accurate manner.
Processes and verifies new and revised customer IRA/HSA account documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
Processes and verifies customer IRA/HSA maintenances in an accurate and timely manner.
Generates required governmental reporting.
Collects data for management reporting.
Monitors, processes, and verifies annual required minimum distributions.
Monitors, processes, and verifies scheduled distributions.
Performs tax reporting corrections.
Reviews and corrects DDA, Savings, Time Deposits, and IRA/HSA tax reporting.
Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.
Performs other job duties as assigned.

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
Ability to provide excellent internal customer service
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to meet exacting deadlines
Ability to adapt effectively to change and repeated interruptions
Ability to respond to requests from retail branch staff promptly and professionally
Ability to learn and follow Bank policies and procedures
Ability to work extended hours as needed
Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of one (1) year of work experience with Microsoft Office products required
