Investment Closing Specialist

Location: Fully remote, available exclusively for residents of Southern California

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Investment Closing Specialist to become a vital member of our team. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Investment Closing, and will focus on a range of essential tasks related to the closing and funding of investments.

Key Responsibilities
Ā• Collect and analyze financial data from multiple sources to calculate pro-rata amounts for investor allocations.
Ā• Assess variances between projected estimates and finalized funding memos or capital call notices from general partners and fund administrators.
Ā• Review and confirm calculations related to secondary interest acquisitions.
Ā• Work collaboratively with in-house legal teams and investment professionals to ensure timely investment funding and closings.
Ā• Coordinate with fund accounting personnel to request capital from investors, aligning contractual notification periods with funding deadlines set by general partners.
Ā• Ensure accurate accounting entries are reflected in our internal database.
Ā• Collaborate with operations and compliance teams to initiate and prepare outgoing wire transfers.
Ā• Liaise with banking institutions to guarantee the timely delivery of outgoing wires as per general partner schedules.
Ā• Develop and enhance robust operational procedures.
Ā• Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as needed.

Required Skills
Ā• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with substantial experience in electronic databases.
Ā• Exceptional mathematical capabilities, with a keen aptitude for performing complex calculations accurately.
Ā• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data effectively.
Ā• Demonstrated experience in cross-department collaboration with various levels of management, clients, and business partners.
Ā• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
Ā• Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.
Ā• Proven ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Ā• Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality regarding client, investment, and company information.

Qualifications
Ā• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting Operations is required.
Ā• A Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is mandatory.
Ā• A willingness and capacity to learn new computer technologies and software is essential.

Compensation And Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, coupled with performance-based bonuses, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance and retirement plans. The salary range for this role is set between (65,000 and )85,000, and the position is eligible for overtime.
