Internship - Hotel Rooms Operations
About the position
The Room Operations internship at Highgate Hotels offers a dynamic and paid opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in hotel room operations within a fast-paced environment. Interns will learn about the hospitality industry while working at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort, which features extensive event space and luxurious amenities. Responsibilities
? Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with employees and guests in a friendly and service-oriented manner.

? Listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.

? Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
,
? Attend all hotel-required meetings and trainings.
,
? Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards.
,
? Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
,
? Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
,
? Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions.
,
? Handle problems effectively, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues as necessary.
,
? Understand and apply complex information and data from various sources to meet objectives.
,
? Cross-train in other hotel-related areas as needed.
,
? Maintain confidentiality of information and show initiative in anticipating guest or operational needs.

? Perform other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
? Currently studying for a Bachelor's degree, Graduate degree, or equivalent in Hotel Management or a related field.

? Coursework in hotel revenue management concepts and tools preferred.

? High level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

? Strong communication skills are required.

? Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

? Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.

? Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret revenue performance data.
