Job Overview
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from data analysis and modeling to solution development and implementation. Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and frame analytical problems
Acquiring, manipulating, cleaning, and analyzing structured and unstructured data from various sources
Building and validating statistical and machine learning models to drive business value
Deploying models as proofs of concept or fully productionized implementations
Monitoring and maintaining deployed models to ensure continued effectiveness
Evaluating business impacts and communicating significant recommendations to stakeholders
Promoting data-driven decision-making across the organization through workshops and training sessions
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Master's/PhD degree or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of equivalent practical experience in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, etc.)
Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, Java)
Practical experience with data extraction, cleaning, and analysis
Deep knowledge of statistical and machine learning techniques
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
Experience with SQL and data visualization
Experience with deep learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, recommender systems, experimentation (e.g., A/B testing)
Practical experience designing, building, and deploying machine learning models within a ML Operations framework
Experience using cloud platforms and parallel processing to scale model development/deployment
Domain knowledge in the airline industry
Experience working in a consulting role
