INTERNATIONAL APPLICATION PROCESSOR (TEMPORARY)
About the position
The University of Washington is seeking approximately 12 Temporary International Freshman Application Processors to join the International Admissions Office. This role is crucial in processing international freshman applications for the Autumn 2025 freshman class, which involves handling over 10,000 applications. The position is 100% remote, but candidates must be able to travel to the UW Seattle campus for equipment pick-up and drop-off at the start and end of the assignment. The training period will be intensive and fast-paced, lasting approximately five weeks from November 19 to December 23, 2024, during which candidates will learn to manage a large workload with speed and accuracy while adhering to the Universitys confidentiality policies. After training, processors will be expected to independently complete repetitive and detailed procedures with precision. The work environment is dynamic, requiring consistent attendance and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. The position reports to the Associate Director for International Operations and requires a commitment from November 19, 2024, through January 31, 2025, with the possibility of extension into February.
Responsibilities
Process international freshman applications in collaboration with the International Operations team.

Perform extensive data entry for application information.

Evaluate complex foreign credentials for international freshman applications.

Process 60+ applications per day.
,
Verify that files are complete for admission review.
,
Review applications for minimum requirements and calculate GPAs.

Participate in online training activities and discussions on Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
,
Learn quickly and apply complicated training materials and policies.
,
Work independently for hours at a time.
,
Other duties as assigned, including matching/attaching transcripts to application folders, reading and responding to emails, and data checking.
Requirements
High school graduation or GED equivalent, AND one year of admissions or registrar's office experience, or one year's college education.
